Loud & Proud, Paris's first queer festival

From 02 July 2015 to 05 July 2015

The Gaité Lyrique, in cooperation with the Unique Place (Nantes) and Sugar (Lyon), launches the first edition of the festival Loud & Proud , a pioneering event in France that aims to make visible queer artists and that will be held from 2 to 5 July, 2015.

The Gaité Lyrique , in cooperation with the Unique Place (Nantes) and Sugar (Lyon), launches the first edition of the festival Loud & Proud, a pioneering event in France that aims to make visible queer artists and that will be held from 2 to 5 July, 2015.

The festival Loud & Proud questions the representation of sexual minorities on French stages and aims to give more visibility to the bodies and identities and neglected and marginalized by scheduling concerts and performances of queer artists.

By offering works that question gender norms, race and class and reports, guest artists will thus be presenting a carrier of positive values discourse, progressive and emancipatory.

Loud & Proud Festival will offer a space of expression to queer culture, an occasion to celebrate and make visible this minority in a consistent and rich context of meaning that will offer an idea on the conditions of its emergence, its political significance but also its aesthetic and poetic dimension.

The Festival will be thus taking place not only in Paris, but also in Nantes and Lyon, to allow to a larger audience to discover this controversial topic.

Guests staying in Hotel Cambon will be within a 15 minute drive from the Gaité Lyrique to assist the festival.
