WARHOL Unlimited

From 02 October 2015 to 07 February 2016
For the first time in Europe, the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris is hosting the series of paintings “Shadows” by the American key figure of pop art, Andy Warhol (August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987). The exhibition includes over 200 important works of the Pop Master. It is entitled “WARHOL Unlimited” and it will run until February 7, 2016.
“Shadows” was painted between 1978 and 1979. It is composed of 102 silkscreened canvases and reaches 130 meters in length. Together, the paintings create a rhythm that depicts Warhol’s great interest in repetition and continuity.
“WARHOL Unlimited” includes many other remarkable series such as the Maos, the Flowers, the Jackies, and the Electric Chairs. It also comprises other impressive works of the King of Pop Art that were produced during the last decades of his life.
