The art of Pastel from Degas to Redon

Published: 30 October 2017
From 15 September 2017 to 08 April 2018
The Petit Palais des Champs Elysées will be presenting, until April 8th, 2018, "The art of Pastel from Degas to Redon", an exhibition that features a remarkable selection of pastels from the museum's collection and which date back to the second half of the nineteenth century.
Due to their fragility and high sensitivity to light, pastels are in most cases rarely shown to the public at museums, something that makes this exhibition an absolute must-see, especially for the admirers of this fascinating art technique.
At the present day, the Petit Palais is home to a collection that encompasses more than 200 pieces which were created by some of the finest artists who opted for this technique to produce fascinating masterpieces. Among the pieces of this collection, 150 have been chosen to be shown for the first time, for only six months before returning back to the reserve.
The museum is not far from our hotel http://www.hotelcambon.com. So, book your ticket now and don't miss this probably once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to admire these chefs-d'oeuvre displayed all together in one of the most iconic monuments in Paris.
