About The Tales of Hoffmann:
Based on three short stories by the famous Romantic author Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann and written by the French writer and librettist Paul Jules Barbier, this opéra fantastique is actually hailed as one of Offenbach’s most successful works, though it had its premiere on February 10,1881, a few months after his death.
The Tales of Hoffmann is composed of a prologue, three acts and an epilogue.
