“No one moment is most important. Any moment can be something.”

Garry Winogrand (1928-1984) was a passionate traveller, and went all over around the United States. After the World War II, he underlined the paradoxes of America’s way of life, depicting its beauty as well as its ferocity. He did most of his brilliant work in Manhattan, during the 60’s, a decade he witnessed and brightly described.

He was, and still is, one of the few photographers that have done it. In his hands, photography was innovative, creative and beautiful. He proved how photography could sit as the most prestigious of the fine arts.
