La Maison Rouge Foundation, inaugurated on june the 20th, 2015 the exhibition "My Buenos Aires", one of the largest exhibitions of Argentine contemporary art ever organized in Paris, with the support of the City of Buenos Aires and the Embassy France to Argentina.
This exhibition is part of a cycle dedicated to cities in motion, like "My Winnipeg", which came straight from Canada in 2011, and "My Joburg" from South Africa, in 2013.
"My Buenos Aires" presents more than a hundred works, performed by some sixty Argentine plastic artists, through an original mapping of the city, amply illustrated and documented in a catalog that takes the form of a tour guide.
The exhibition takes the opposite of a romantic and outdated view of Buenos Aires. The commissioners, Paula Aisemberg and Albertine de Galbert, wanted, not describe the city or offer a ranking of Argentine artists, but offer the public a feeling, an experience, an illustration of the artistic dynamics at work in Buenos Aires and movements that have animated Argentine society over the past three decades.
Several French and Argentine artists living in Paris took part in the event, including the French Argentine artists Julio Le Parc and Pablo Reinoso, Othoniel or Sophie Calle, who was recently in Buenos Aires, where she knows a great success with his installation "Take care of yourself."
