for the first time in Strasbourg in May 2015, "Origins", the exhibition by Jaek
El Diablo, settles in Galerie Lacroix from October 9 to November 7, 2015.
Through this exhibition, El µDiablo invites us to travel back in time as it offers an immersion in the New York of the 80s.
Raphael Ananou, alias Jaek El Diablo unveils his universe through the “Origins” exhibition, through graffiti and tags, hip-hop music and street style of New York. Putting together a selection of hit work of art, El Diablo invites us to discover the new faces of classic childhood cartoons: the Pink Panther, Tom & Jerry, Garfield or Mickey, as we have never seen before. Highlighting the colourful urban pop, the artist will exhibit his creations on canvas in XXL format. A selection of nearly 40 works will be on display including the famous Brooklyn Cool Cat, G Da Fat Cat and Jerry for the Bronx entirely realised by spray and marker bomb. Paintings, photographs and caps customized by El Diablo will delight fans of street culture.
It is a journey into the past, to the time when graffiti and B-BOY rubbed shoulders in the streets of New York, where Grand Master Flash sounds echoing in the corridors of the metro that offers us the artist.
