Cubism at Centre Pompidou
Published: 28 January 2019

There are some modern art museums that will offer a slight nod to Cubism in their collections – a couple of pieces here and there from the more well-known masters. More often than not, this means a Picasso piece. Attitudes like these explain why there are so many people that don’t fully appreciate the breadth of Cubism across the 20th century, nor the field of artists that shaped it.
The current Cubism exhibition at the Centre Pompidou aims to rectify this by bringing together a chronological exhibition of 300 pieces of art. These works come from a range of top artists, many of whom worked in various mediums and scale.
Visitors can go on a wonderful journey through this timeline while exploring the different forms, the energy of the pieces and the sense of drama. It is also a rare chance to truly compare these different artists and their expressions. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy this show soon, as it moves to another location on the 25th of February.
