Egon Schiele at Fondation Louis Vuitton Paris
Published: 27 November 2018
From 03 October 2018 to 14 January 2019
Egon Schiele is a Viennese artist that will always divide opinion. While there are many that herald his talent and place as a visionary in the 1910s, others will still find his work shocking and distasteful.
There can be no middle-of-the-road opinion on his work, which is why Paris residents are encouraged to come and form their own opinion this winter.
This new exhibition in the Fondation Louis Vuitton covers a series of work from this influential artist across four rooms. The idea is that the pieces follow the idea of line and development, showcasing Schiele’s own artistic development over the years. It looks at the ornament line and expressionist line and the way that he adapts them through his images. This is an interesting approach for an artist that is so often presented for the shock value of the images rather than the details in the construction.
The show continues here until January 14th.
