George Desvallières: Exhibition at Le Petit Palais

Running from March 15th until July 17th, 2016, at Le Petit Palais, the exhibition George Desvallières will be displaying a collection of the most important works of the French painter George Desvallières.
Who is George Desvallières?
Born on May 14, 1861, in Paris, George Desvallières was the great-grandson of the French poet and academician Gabriel-Marie Legouvé (1764-1812) and the grandson of renowned dramatist and member of the French academy Ernest Legouvé (1807-1903).
He started his studies at the Parisian art school, Académie Julien in 1878 and was accepted two years after that at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.

This exhibition George Desvallières showcases approximately 90 works by the painter including paintings, stained glass pieces, as well as many other works.
Coinciding with the publication of the catalogue raisonné of George Desvallières’s complete works by Catherine Ambroselli de Bayser, the exhibition George Desvallières is actually an excellent opportunity to honor the memory of the artist.
