The Place des Vosges

Le Marais is the aristocratic district of Paris, it hosts many outstanding buildings of historic and architectural importance. It spreads across parts of the 3rd and 4th district in Paris on the right bank, of the Seine a stone throw from Bastille. The Marais is now one of Paris' main localities for art galleries a,d it has become a fashionable district, home to many trendy restaurants, fashion houses, and hype galleries. The neighbourhood has experienced a growing gay presence since the 80's, as evidenced by the existence of many gay cafés, nightclubs, cabarets and shops.

The Place des Vosges
Many Parisians consider The Place des Vosges as one of the most beautiful plazas in the city.In the center of the Place, there is a statue of Louis XIII which dates back to 1825. This replaces the original that was a reminder of the anti-aristocratic fury of the revolution.
At the Place des Vosges, you will find many shops, cafés and restaurants. And for the window shoppers, don't forget to take a look at the fine antique store, and the book and record shops.
