The well-reputed painter and sculptor Anders Leonard Zorn’s epic works are kept for display in the Anders Zorn exhibition at Petit Palais started from 15th September and will be open till 17th December.


Petit Palais has yet again come up with a grand exhibition devoting to the works of Anders Zorn who was an epitome of Swedish painting back in the 19th century after their contribution to Carl Larsson in their exhibition that took place in 2014.

Anders Zorn is known for his famous portraits of the three American presidents including Grover Cleveland, William H. Taft, and Theodore Roosevelt as well as the other famous historical figures. He grew his wealth through his elegant paintings and he inaugurated the Swedish literary Bellman Prize in 1920 during his last days.

His works possessed distinctive qualities and he stroked the art of masterful standard. He is also reputed as an etcher and sculptor. Apart from the display of his heart-warming paintings, the exhibition also stands as a testament to his talents as a watercolorist. This exhibition also hosts some of the commendable works of Anders Zorn from the Zorn Museum in Mora and National Museum in Stockholm.

This historical exhibition is organized by Johan Cedurland, Director of Zornmuseet, Mora Carl and Johan Olsson who established the 19th-century paintings at the National Museum in Stockholm and Christophe Leribault, Director of the Petit Palais.

"Anders Zorn" is a visual treat for all the art enthusiasts and those who admire the works of Anders Zorn.
