The Grand Palais des Champs Elysées Paris is putting on display an exhibition devoted to the French post-Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin and that puts on view an outstanding selection of his most noted works.
Organized by the RMN – Grand Palais, in partnership with the Art Institute of Chicago and the Etablissement Public des musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie, the retrospective shows a selection of nearly 200 pieces and that boasts a large variety of works including paintings, drawing, ceramics, and sculptures, as well.
All of the works on exhibition were produced by Gauguin and are regarded among the most influential artworks in the history of art. They also are a good example to highlight the major features of this artist’s style and the techniques he used to produce such a magnificent body of art.
The exhibit started on October 11th, 2017 and will continue until January 22nd, 2018, at the Galeries nationales of the Grand Palais.
